Laser powder sintering (SLS) is an additive process of the powder melting technology. In SLS powder sintering, laser light selectively sinters particles of polymer powder (usually PA), fuses them, and builds the part layer by layer. The material used in SLS powder sintering is a granular thermoplastic polymer of very fine powder particles. SLS powder sintering is used for prototyping and small-scale production of functional polymer parts. It provides very high design freedom, high precision, and parts production with good consistent mechanical properties.
